Finalists for the AusSpace 24, the Australian Space Awards, have been announced. Dr Gabrielle Caswell has been named as a finalist in three categories:
- Female Space Leader of the Year – Enterprise
- Mentor of the Year
- Innovator of the Year
Dr Caswell is delighted to be considered to these awards. Space Port Australia (www.spaceportaustralia.com.au) is an independent research hub created by Dr Caswell to capture the practitioner-scholar. Dr Caswell’s research interests include space health, human factors and molecular and cellular biochemistry in microgravity.
Dr Caswell says, ‘There is such a high calibre of individuals contributing to the Australian space effort, that just to be included in the same categories as these individuals is a fabulous win for independent researchers. This is a very exciting event, which will hopefully help grow interest in the work that Space Port Australia’s achieves.”
The Australian Space Awards will be held on the Tuesday 28th of May, 2024.
